KAFFE 2014 - The Colourful World of Kaffe Fassett
World-renowned knitwear and textile designer Kaffe Fassett celebrates his 50 year-long association with the American Museum, which began with a series of drawings he made of our Period Rooms in 1964.
This retrospective exhibition showcases how Kaffe lives by his maxim to find colour in a grey world. Designed by theatrical designer Johan Engels, the exhibition is as colourful as the dazzling pieces on display. Over 100 sumptuous works of textile art from Kaffe‚s personal collection are on view, offering a glimpse of the private man behind the public façade.
