Set in the village of Sutton, we offer good food and accommodation, with many local places to visit in this beautiful area of the Sussex countryside. In early March 2008 the inn ceased to trade and was consequently refurbished to a high standard. It was re-opened in July 2008 by the new owners.

Our contemporary food is full of flair and represents great value for money. We use local suppliers and where possible, local produce. Our menu changes regularly and is prepared by our experienced chef Nathan Green. We have a fine drinks selection too. Along with our well chosen wine list we always have three local real ales on tap.

There are five ensuite rooms equipped with good quality furniture, comfortable bedding and fluffy towels. Each is finished with a touch of style to make your stay that little bit special. We're an ideal location for lunches and dinners as well as being perfect for that special dinner followed by an overnight stay. We have a private car park with plenty of street parking available too.

* chargrilled T-bone steak, roasted tiger tomatoes, chestnut mushrooms with handcut chips
* marinated chicked breast on mixed peppers with red wine sauce and saute potatoes
* ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta cheese with red pepper sauce
* duck breast on pan fried pea & mint potato cake with baby carrots and rhubarb sauce


* sticky toffee pudding , butterscotch sauce and ice cream
* blueberry ice cream on a crisp meringue
* mango and passion fruit iced parfait with lemongrass and kiwi coulis
