The Bowes Hotel & Bar features free on-site parking and is 5 minutesí drive from the Roman forts of Vindolanda and Housesteads, as well one of the most dramatic parts of Hadrianís Wall. Situated 10 miles from Kielder Forest Park, An en suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities are featured in each room at The Bowes. A full English breakfast is served in the spacious dining room, and locally sourced ingredients are used whenever possible. A traditional Sunday lunch is also on offer, which includes roast chicken or venison. A bar, garden and terrace are also provided for guests to relax in. Walking, cycling and fishing can all be enjoyed in the local area, and Hexham racecourse is a 20-minute drive. Bardon Mill railway station is approximately 200 yards from The Bowes Hotel and trains run about every 2 hours from Newcastle.
