Whittington, Staffordshire

Review of Whittington by philip wood on June 22nd, 2006
The Bell Inn, is a great old pub dating back to 1832, when many pubs were able to start in business, a licence could be bought for 2 and anyone could sell ale to the public in their own house, this is how the term "Public House" originated. The Bell Inn has a great atmosphere, has many old timbers exposed, they serve Bass, and Pedigree, and also guest beers, fresh home cooked meals are also available, there is a front patio area, facing onto Main Street, there is also a large garden area with more seating spaced around, a childrens play area is also in the garden and the whole area is fenced to prevent small children running away. I live 50 yards away, Aren't I lucky? Phil.
