Review of Gairloch by Tim Frost on June 14th, 2007
Just over a week ago my car broke down at a viewpoint just to the North of Gairloch (battery failure). I was on tour from Devon. A garage a mile from there came out promptly to help and my battery was replaced.
The problem was dealt with with kindness, humour and great efficiency. Within an hour we were back on the road to enjoy the rest of our holiday.
I hope this column can locate the garage (& coach station) to express my warmest thanks.
You know, I go to the theatre to be entertained. I don’t want to see plays about rape, sodomy and drug addiction...I can get all that at home - Peter Cook
