Review of Barrow-in-Furness by Tony Bland on September 6th, 2007
Lovely approach from Abbey road, around Furness Abbey is a gem, starts too deteriorate towards the town centre. Portland walk should have been covered because the town cried out for it after all the years of buffeting winds. Rawlinson street is a disgrace at the Greengate end. Bicycles are rode willy nilly in Dalton road and Portland walk and not just by teenagers, and barking dogs are a pain in this same area. The people are generally friendly but it suffers like most towns with yob culture in a lawless environment.
