Box Hill is a hill near Dorking
in Surrey. Part of the North Downs
, Box Hill is a well known beauty spot and one of Britainís early tourist attractions. Owned by the National Trust, Box Hill
is designated as a country park. It has a view platform at the top of the hill that gives stunning views across Dorking and Surrey. A car park at the top of the hill serves the National Trust
visitor centre. This is complete with a take away cafť and gift shop. Box Hill is very popular with walkers but has also been closely associated with the motorcar, motorcycle and pedal cycle since soon after each were invented.
