Born 1879. Died 1959 - Aviator and engineer.

First to make a night flight, during the sponsored London to Manchester race in 1910. Founded his own company to build aircraft again in 1910. Established a teaching school at Hendon which became Hendon Aerodrome. Moved to Nice where he died.
