The London Borough of Sutton lies on the A232 road about four miles to the West of Croydon. It is sandwiched between the A23 and A24 trunk roads which run from London to the South Coast. Access to the M25 is good via the A23. Junction 7 of the M25 is only about eight miles away. Rail connection to Sussex and to Central London is provided by the Sutton and Mole Valley Lines railway service. Sutton also provides good access to Gatwick Airport, which is only 21 miles away, via the M23. Sutton offers plenty of tranquil areas, despite being a London suburb. It boasts some 1500 acres of parkland for you to relax in. You can also take a relaxing walk along the banks of the River Wandle. For more active pursuits, there are several leisure centres in the area offering a full range of sports and fitness related activities. There are some notable buildings in Sutton and the surrounding area, such as the Honeywood Heritage Centre, Little Holland House, Carew Manor, Nonsuch Museum and 'Whitehall' at Cheam. Theatre buffs can choose from two Sutton's main theatres, the Secombe Theatre and the Charles Cryer Studio Theatre.
